3 Yard Patterns

Updated: Feb 14, 2022

Attendant at the cutting table "How many yards would you like?"

Your response "Well, why don't you give me two"

Let's face it, most of us give this response even when we only need half a yard! Haha! Well, there are several patterns out there to help you use up this extra yardage!

Or, if you need a fast easy quilt, pick up one of our 3 (generous) one yard cut kits in the museum gift shop!!!

Recently quilts made with 3 one yard cuts have become quite popular! There are large variety of these beautiful patterns for sale and or FREE!!

We will post a few pattern ideas here that are free online.

This one is shown as scrappy on Cluck Cluck Sew, however it would make a really cute pattern with 3 fabrics!!

Over at Nuts and Bolts you can find 6 free patterns. These patterns are easily printable, fast to make and sew cute!!

You will find this FREE pattern at Fabric cafe. This is a fun, quick and easy pattern!

With way more free patterns than you can even imagine, Bear Creek Quilting Company will share a free pattern every week when you sign up for their newsletter. Some of their patterns are more intricate and some are more simple like this 3 yard pattern.

Now although these aren't free, Fabric Cafe has a downloadable pattern book with 8 easy THREE one yard cut quilt patterns by Donna Robertson.
